Dry Day

A dry day is no intoxication for the soul. Doubts, anxieties, and fears don’t allow us to function in the same way governments restrict the sale of liquor. This restriction leads to irritation and a sense of incompleteness when no alcohol can be sold. Consumption only can happen unless our homes are filled with surplus supplies for such days. Days of positivity are erased on a dry day without much ado. A halo of gloom circles our surroundings. Attitudes take a spin and behavioral ineptness does rounds.

A dry day is sort of a blockage for a fertile mind. Anger, frustration, pessimism hover to disrobe humans from gifts that lie within. Sadness seeps in automatically. There is no room for any optimistic grease for a healthy mind then. Past demons are front runners. Nothing makes sense. Everything is a question. Fluid thoughts of optimism and positivity just don’t see the light of day. Everything is clogged from a purposeful perspective. All that comes to mind are a sense of non-achievements, helplessness, and a bruised soul. We draw ourselves into a cocoon thus restricting entry to any bright thought. A friend is on the sidelines on such days. Lovers witness mood swings. Couples undergo a somersault as inner desire to live king size is restricted by this phase. Governments control sales by putting a noose. That evil conniving spirit within pulls our strings of fighting back. Instead, we give in to the noose and become victims. A locked-out persona is the main character in such situations. The zeal to face it is too low on the radar of life. It’s a forced phenomenon by the dark fires that lie latent on a positive day. On peculiar days that are dry in totality, it spreads its wings to clutch the individual in its grip.

Not all days are dry days. Governments similarly can’t have all days as dry days. A dry day can be a death anniversary or a breakup day. It can be a day we lose our jobs that we may remember on a monthly or on a yearly basis. A fight leading to a split among friends can be termed as a dry day too when clouded thoughts just don’t allow clearance of any kind. It can be a day when opportunities just did not let anyone reach out to them. A dry day is a day where there is room for conflicting thoughts. Peace doesn’t flow. A very expensive day as it eclipses our sanity, free flow and freewill. It has to be followed by the whip of a mood swing. A sound backing of optimism can be a nemesis for a dry day just as a backup of booze shuns the sadness of a dry day.

It has to be faced come what may as they are for real. Alcohol, in good moderations, is healthy. A complete day to put a muzzle on its sale has its usefulness too. A dry day in the form of a setback can be a stepping stone in disguise. A buffer is the best way to beat it. Positivity, happy thoughts, and choosing to stay in a happy space can overpower such dry days of our lives. Hi and Adios to Dry Day.
