Plant Love

A sapling or a full-grown plant sticking its neck from a pot comes with its own sets of intrigue, joy, anxieties & comfort. Once in the house, it continues to pull inmates to itself gradually. An ardent fan of plants has immense satisfaction watching it grow by one’s efforts & tender loving care. A means of decor as well as life, this beauty with its succulent and green charm adds a dash of happiness. Just like a baby, it demands attention, care & nutrition for growth and comfort by being there. A silent spectator of our trials, choices, struggles, angst, love, care, and things or people we hold dear. They are bare witness to everything we do. An observer with gifts in the form of flowers. The smell of their existence can be a lifesaver for lonesome corners.

It is a challenge to keep a plant alive. It’s fun to watch it grow but a lot is at stake when a change of weather brings with it harsh winds, heavy rains, and snow. Extreme weather conditions double care. Resilience and tenacity hold their ground. Plain and simple plants are an epitome of poise and inward shimmer. They emanate good vibes wherever they stand. Layered and exotic ones dispel mystery and beauty all around them. A brief look is a far cry then as it demands a deeper look to fathom its intricacies.

If we really read them a droopy plant is a sign of thirst. The wilted look is a signal to fill them with water so as to rise again to life and enthuse a sense of fertility to not only themselves but to the environs too. Post watering a new leaf perks up a sad mood. Those supple delicate frames are marvelous. Time to time fertilisers act as a much-needed boost for greenish longevity. Plants with flowers that bloom are a visual treat. Flowering plants have massive appeal more so if they smell good. The aromatic spells bring effortless smiles.

Watering a plant and the smell it emits is a lot like petrichor. Filling the pot with water is a fruitful fix and washing their leaves adds days to their lifespan. They shine to a new glow. It gives a feel as if they are smiling and expressing their gratitude. Plants speak to us if we give them a lending ear by observing a little more than the previous day. They dance in the wind and rain just polishes them to a new high. Adequate sunlight from time to time is the much-needed elixir. Their presence around us heals.

Fallen leaves are hope. Hope for a new life, a new beginning. A promise to its surroundings that all is not lost. A new entrant will emerge to continue the cycle of life till its last breath. To spread joy till it stands tall. An inspiration to keep going come what may. Roots etch a strong grip. The stronger the root of the plant stronger is the conviction to never give up. Plants are god sent and are lovely entities. They are saviours, excellent communicators and without them life is colourless. Their vibe and colour fill us up. They provide us food, oxygen, and solace.
