Book Review: Manuscript Found in Accra by Paulo Coelho

Brazilian author Paulo Coelho delights yet again with another masterpiece. Set in 1099 Jerusalem the book distinctly speaks about human values in general. A manuscript found in Jerusalem is the backbone of the book. Jerusalem is awaiting an attack from the crusaders and the people are tense. The wisdom of a Greek man called ‘Copt’ throws light to various issues present in the lives of the people of Jerusalem. He talks about faith, love, sex, anxiety, future, family, death, fear, friends, enemies and so much more. The book holds a lot of insight and acts as a guide and soothes like a balm. It reaffirms and uplights on many contexts. It carries an intellectual vision. Each chapter is an answer to a question. Every single word is profound and beautiful. Its narration takes one to a different world which is charming and immerses one fully.

It has all the ingredients of a quick read but a slow read allows one to enjoy reading it more. It helps you bloom and open your soul with its intensity. It’s a short book with enriching messages. A very deep and graceful package. It is simple, poetic and powerful.
